Chapter 1

One hot and humid day twelve-year-old Dan sat crouched over on a sand dune thinking about how he had got to the tropical island he was on. Dan was with his father one day on a fishing trip when all of a sudden a huge squid came out of the water. It had killed Dan’s father but Dan got away. And here he was on a lonely island with no way out. When he was done thinking Dan went to make a fire because he could see the sun creeping away in the horizon. Dan went to a nearby palm tree and picked up a limb that had fallen down a while ago and got a pile of similar sticks and twigs and got a piece of flint from a stream that he had found a few feet away. When he got the fire going it was already dark outside Dan made a tight circle and fell quickly asleep.

Chapter 2

The next day Dan got up at the break of dawn he could see seagulls, crabs, and even a leather back turtle. Dan sat there dozed off for a few minutes then his stomach started growling. Dan got up and started walking around the small island He was walking then all of a sudden ‘squish’ he looked down and he had stepped on seagull poop. “EEewwwww” Dan exclaimed. Then he looked up and he saw a pirates, skeleton he suddenly lost his appetite and ran back to camp. Eventually Dan did find food it was a whole forest of coconuts near a waterfall. Dan kept thinking about the pirates, skeleton. A few days later Dan went to the spot where he had seen the skeleton and found it then looked at it closely, he saw about ten new bullets it looked like other pirates used that pirate for target practice. A chill ran up Dan’s spine. He looked around and saw an old-style pistol he picked it up and said “this might come in handy” he kept exploring the area and found a chreasure chest with a few more bodies. Dan pulled out the pistol and creeped towards the chest all of a sudden, a pirate jumped out from behind a tree and started shooting at Dan with a musket. Dan jumped behind a rock and started firing back after a few shots Dan hit him in the chest and killed the pirate. Dan walked over to the newly dead body and took the gun powder and bullets from him. Dan loaded the pistol and trekked on. He walked in the bushes to avoid being seen by any more blood thirsty pirates. Finally, he headed back to camp and made a little hut out of palm leaves. Dan put out the fire with seawater and fell asleep with his new pistol in his hand.

Chapter 3

The next day he woke up with a start a whole bunch of monkeys were staring right at him. Dan jumped up his hands in the air thinking the pirates were attacking him. Dad then realized that they were monkeys and calmed down then grabbed he pistol and shot a bullet into the air. The bullet must have attracted some pirates because all of a sudden 10 or 11 pirates jumped out of the woods with swords drawn Dan got up and ran firing his pistol as he ran Dan found a sand dune and quickly hit behind it. He waited a few minutes then he popped his head out of the sand dune the pirates were gone. “pphheeewhh” Dan sighed he now knew that this island was not safe.

Chapter 4

He was curious about what was in the middle of the island so he started on his way he thinks this day was probably the most hot and humid day of his stay in the dangerous island as he walked mosquitoes bit him in like 100 spots it was like being stabbed everywhere it felt horrible. But Dan kept on going. He saw a water fall that must have been at least 500 feet tall and there was a cave inside it Dan walked closer and peered in. There was a stair way. On the first stair there was a pocketknife Dan picked it up and put it in his pocked. He started down the stair way when he heard something like drunk pirates singing a weird song he kept going his flintlock pistol at the ready. (the pistol is a ‘Blunderbuss flintlock pistol’). He looked to his side there was a knight’s body it still had the armor on with it’s Rapier sword at it’s side there were rats and ants eating it’s flesh. Dan looked at it discusted and kept on walking. The pirates singing was getting closer and he loaded the gun and peeked around the courner and could hear clearly what the pirates were saying “Yo Ho Yo Ho were going to be rich tonight” Dan was confused why would they be rich? He shrugged and creeped on. He went down to where a door stood he tried opening it was locked! He shot the lock off and opened the door.

Chapter 5

He stood dumbfounded for a second his jaw dropped down there was treasure everywhere Gold, Diamonds, rubies name it and it was everywhere! He started stuffing his pockets just then a group of pirates came in guns aimed Dan ran he hid behind a pile of gold and started firing back. He hit 1..2..3 there were 2 left all of a sudden he felt a lot of pain he had been shot in the leg. He pulled the bullet out with a gold sword that was nearby. “oooooowwww” that hurt he sat there for a second recovering. When he heard a coin being dropped he slowly grabbed the pocket knife he had and quickly jabbed behind him catching his foes flesh the pirate tried to jab back but the pirate was failing. Dan hit it a few more times resulting in killing the unfortunate pirate there was blood all over the place. Dan started to go back up the stair way when something sparkly caught his eye it was a pirates sword but no ordinary pirate sword it looked inchanted. He picked it up he felt power pulsing through his veins he tried cutting a diamond block the second the sword touched the block it split in two. “I think I might keep this” said Dan he headed out and got back to camp he missed his family and wanted to get off this island as quick as possible. He went to sleep with pictures of his family in his head His sister, Mom and dog Rowdy how would he tell them that their father had died?
