Hi!! So I decided to do part 1 over again (I didn’t change much though) and I would really like y’all to tell me if the first try was better or not, and what y’all liked and disliked about it!!! (for some reason I feel like I’m in an youtube video!! Like, subscribe and comment down below!!😂)
The old ones say that once the Earth was a beautiful blue and green sphere. Now, however, where the greens were there are ugly grays. Where the mighty blue oceans were, there is a black expanse. Men once thought that they were the greatest things that roamed the earth. Now they live in fear of the things that have taken over. Dinosaurs.

The shuttle lurched towards the earth. I snapped out of my reverie and back into the real world. The alarm system went off, red lights flashing. The voices that were pounding in my head lowly faded. I was being dragged into Earth’s gravitational pull. The ship’s position shifted as it was slowly drawn out of its planned rotation of the earth. Time slowed as I drew near the earth…

The shuttle shook. Red, orange, and yellow exploded around the small craft. The pod jolted around, I fell backward, and sound erupted all around me. Lights flashed, the shades went down. A few minutes later the view cleared.*
I was heading straight towards the grey ground. I couldn’t move. The living daylight was scared out of me. As the earth’s surface drew nearer and nearer, the shuttle’s alarm system went off. The video camera came on. The flight operations officer requested me to describe my circumstances, but I couldn’t make myself move or talk. The ground grew nearer. I finally got myself to move and braced for a ruff landing.
I hit the ground hard. All I could see was grey. I don’t know how long I sat there, but when I finally looked up the view was clear. Sparks from the control system flew around the cabin. I got up to look out the window. The shuttle had crashed into the middle of a clearing. Everything was grey. Light grey, dark grey does it matter what shade it is? I decided to answer that question myself with a no. I grabbed a few food packs from the stowage cupboard. I checked to make sure that the mayday message had been sent out but the control system was destroyed.
All of a sudden the ground shook, I looked up, and across the clearing, a T-rex started to approach the shuttle. I froze, the living daylight had been scared out of me yet again. The dinosaur was standing right above the shuttle. It’s drool dripped down on the shuttle’s front view window. I could hear it’s raspy breath. Its jagged teeth came into view as it bent down to look through the front window. The biggest eye I’ve ever seen came into view. It drew back and then came down teeth and all. I was knocked back by the sheer force. Its teeth scraped on the windows as it tried to crunch the ship in two. I could see down its throat as it raised the shuttle into the air. I fell towards the window, but grabbing a chair I pulled myself into a balancing position. I was hoping that the shuttle was made of tougher stuff than that dino’s teeth.
Just as it seemed that it would never give up it dropped the shuttle. I tumbled over and knocked an object off one of the shelves. I froze, hoping that if I was still enough that it would go away. After I got up, I looked through the window and saw the dinosaur stomp off to the other side of the clearing.
I looked behind me and saw that I had knocked down one of the pictures my mother had put in our shuttle years ago. It was lying face down. I turned it over and saw it was a picture of my family all together, Memaw’s big smile made her look like she never left. A tear slid down my cheek. After brushing it away, I dusted off the glass and pulled out the old photograph. I quickly stuffed it in the bag of supplies that I had gathered. I chose to exit the ship immediately just in case the dinosaur came back.
The ground where I had landed was all torn up. I jumped out of the shuttle. The gray grass was tall and looked like what the old ones call grain, so I didn’t have to duck down that far to avoid being seen by anything. The pod had laded in the middle of the field, so that made things harder as to hiding from dinosaurs. I crawled to the other side of the clearing and rested by the side of a tree only to find that I was sitting in a puddle of drool.
Hearing a low growl emitted from behind me, I slowly turned around to find out that my life was probably going to be a short one. The dinosaur growled louder as it’s face got closer to mine. It opened its mouth up to swallow me whole, drool trickled down on my head. By the time the dinosaur’s teeth were about two inches away from my head my hair was drenched in spit.
My heart beat faster as it lunged in for a final attack to bite my head off…
this one was better!
