Restful Nature

Back against the damp, dark earth,

A lonely lovely rest.

A heart once filled with merry mirth

Now sent to nature’s best.

Eye cast on the sky above,

A deep blue ocean wide.

The bouncy clouds abound with love

For every tear that’s cried.

The smell of dust made damp by rain

Filling every hole.

Every unheard and forgotten pain

No longer burning coals.

Grass tickling at the softest skin,

Prickling at the side.

Awaking moments from a useless rest

In a soul together tied.
