Poems Through the Years

These poems are ones that I have written, some recently and some many years ago. Most of them are rather short and several are haikus, because I really like how simple their structure is. I hope you will enjoy the work of many years.

Snow

Snowflakes falling fast
It is funny how it feels
Tickling, wet, then dry.

Rain

Gently it drifts down
Pattering, Plinking, Plunking
CRASH! The tree topples.

Planting

Stooping and kneeling
Digging, dropping, and filling
Watching and waiting

Ping-Pong

Ping-Pong
energetic game
hitting, slamming, returning
There is a winner
21 to 19

Books

Books are stories, meant to be read,
Soon in another world instead.

Some recall events from of old,
Full of daring men, brave and bold.

Others speak of worlds of magic,
Still more speak of tales quite tragic.

Reading is a common pleasure,
Books themselves are such a treasure.
