Another Part 1!!

Heyo! This post is to make up for the lack of post yesterday. Hope y’all like it. There’s probably a lot of things wrong with it though and I haven’t checked through it all that well. But hopefully its okay! :))

The ground shook.

‘Get under the table!’ Mom screamed.

We all scrambled towards the table. I was behind everyone, terrified that the celling would fall on us.

CRACK!

I froze. Everyone else kept going to the table only to have something large crash down on them. Light flooded into the room.

“MOM!!!” I screamed.

Tears streamed down my face as I crawled towards the mound. I dug through the pile as fast as I could, not making much progress with my scrawny arms. When I finally got to mother her face was pale and her eyes rolled back, it felt as if reality had just slapped me in the face.

Seven years later…

I peaked around the corner.

‘Two armed military soldiers, six mercenaries, Corley, and his buyer,’ I said ‘The package hasn’t arrived yet.’

‘Okay, if you see anything report, ‘kay?’ I heard through the small ear piece.

‘Stop trying to sound so serious.’ I try to whisper and yet it comes out in a high pitched squeak.

‘Why? I should be serious right now and so should you!’ The voice whispered again.

‘You know it’s just me.’

‘Yes, but they could hack into the connection.’

‘Well then they’ll know the truth. We are just two teenage weirdos trying to steal supplies.’

‘We’re not stealing them!’ He shrieks through the mic.

‘Mmhhmm, sure.’

‘Ugh’

‘Corley is engaging the buyer.’ I say, managing the whisper this time.

‘Okay, stay in position.’

‘’Kay, checking the monitors. There’s three moving trucks turning down the alley.’ I say while looking down at the small screen I hold in my hand. I’ll engage on your signal.’

‘Five.’

‘Not the countdown again.’

‘Four.’ He continues as if I hadn’t said anything.

I walked around the corner just as the trucks pulled up tackling the buyer. Forcing him into a headlock I pull out my gun with my free hand. The buyers breathing increased in speed as I put the end of my gun to his head.

The trucks pulled to a stop but the men inside stayed in their seats when they saw the situation.

‘Stay still, or he dies.’

‘Do you know who your talking to?’ One of the military soldiers.

‘Yes actually, that is Corley James Benton.’

‘Well, I’m pleased to meet you, and what would your name be?’ Corley said in a gravelly voice.

‘You can call me Roxanne for now.’

‘Well I’d love to get to know you more but I got business I need to attend to.’

I triggered the gun.

‘Woah woah wait a sec.’

‘Why should I?’ I raised an eyebrow.

‘Doing good.’ Said the voice in the communication device.

‘Well thats a good question I honestly don’t really need him alive, so why don’t you kill him now.’

‘Then who would be your buyer?’

He shrugged. Then calmly added. ‘You?’
