So he waited, with his legs hanging over the side of the chair, twiddling his thumbs and thinking of corny jokes that had nothing to do with corn. Finally, he got up, stretched and went out of the room to get a coffee. 20 minutes later, Mike trotted back with a spring in his step, but he stopped when he saw what was going on. Tim was madly chasing a raccoon around a tree and yes, he was using the laser eyes and other weapons! Mike raced to the computer, imagining how much fun it would be to hunt a raccoon! He booted up the computer,

Mike’s cat jumped up, dug his claws into the carpet and sprinted away. “Mike, help me get that…! racoon!” Tim yelled, using a word an elephant would say when it steps on its trunk.
“I’m coming!” Mike said enthusiastically. He glanced out the window to see the racoon and Tim fighting like cats and racoons. He opened the cat door in the house’s front but stopped short in horrified surprise. Pulling into the driveway was suspect H-27’s truck! “Tim! Stop fighting, H-27 is here if he sees you and the laser eyes, we will lose the job!” but Tim was not listening, when he got angry we didn’t rest until he was even. Mike would have to distract the man until the fight was over. This was exciting, it couldn’t get more fun! The man walked through the front door, unaware of the battle going on around the back. He set some groceries on the counter and moved on to the office. Mike had to jump on the window-seal to prevent H-27 from seeing the bright lasers. As he sat down, Mike broke a vase, so the man turned around, dashed into the kitchen and promptly beat the animal with a rolling pin.

The moment that Mike’s cat saw stars, a loud crash sounded from the backyard as Tim zapped a large tree branch off. H-27 ran, sprinting out of the room with Mike on his heels, literally. The man was almost out the door when Mike used his hover paws to rocket himself onto H-27’s head. He clicked the button on the screen, reading,

The ground hit both of them very hard; the world seemed to swirl around into darkness.
Mike was a hero, although Tim didn’t believe it. He thought that Mike should have helped him fight the raccoon, but Tim’s opinions are always wrong. In Mike’s and the FBI’s opinion, Mike had saved their hides, their cat hides. He became the head of the robotic animals department. He couldn’t be more proud of himself. Especially because now he could boss Tim around. Mike didn’t let the cat out of the bag.
