Just the Way You Are
Wearied, not broken
Alone, not forsaken
It may seem that Satan has won the battle But God has won the war!
That sniveling snake whispers falsehoods and lies
Never will you be enough
Never will you be smart enough, strong enough
Resist, pull away
Remember God made you, God loves you
Just the way you are
When deception nears and cries
That you, sad creature
Subpar your efforts are
Strike back and recall
God made you, God loves you
Just the way you are
When disappointment dares to dim the fire within
Cling to God who made you
Who loves despite the flaws
He has plans to help, not harm
God made you, God loves you
Just the way you are
Beautiful poem, Jane!
